Mike Banks will give us an illustrated talk about his father, entitled ”Flight Lieutenant Donald Banks - His WW2".

The talk will include about 60 slides taken by Mike’s father plus various props including his father's actual "navigation computer”. The information has all been taken from his father’s war-time diary.  It covers his full five years in the RAF from 1941 - 1946 and details his training in Canada and his subsequent operational flying with Coastal Command. The training described includes five genuine 1941 full colour video clips complete with sound, one of which shows him on parade with his fellow RAF trainees”.

As usual the meeting is at 7.30pm in Mugginton Village Hall, admission only £2.00 to include hot drinks and biscuits. If possible, let me know if you might be attending so we can set out the furniture and refreshments before the meeting.

We hope to see as many of you as possible, as getting these talks together entails considerable time as those of you who have given a presentation will know.
